Thomas Franklin Reese, 65

October 23, 1958 – August 23, 2024

Thomas Franklin Reese, 65, resident of Hickory Flat, MS, passed away peacefully August 23, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS. The family has planned a private memorial service for a later date.

Tom was born October 23, 1958, in Macon, GA, the son of the late Frederick William and Laura Judy Reese. He was a high school graduate of St. Andrew Sewanee School in Sewanee, TN and continued his education at the University of Mississippi earning his degree in Computer Science. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years. He then worked for the Navy as a civilian at Naval Weapons Center in Ridgecrest, CA then transferred to SPAWAR in San Diego, CA as a Project Manager before retiring 13 years ago.

A Christian, Tom lived in many places that included Mississippi, Kentucky and Tennessee due to his father being a minister. Tom enjoyed wood working, hiking, camping, video games, fishing and Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. A family man, he loved sharing quality time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Reese, one daughter, Laura Reese Cashion (Andrew) of Fallbrook, CA, one son, William Reese of Castro Valley, CA, one sister, Barbara Miller of Spring, TX and four grandchildren, Jackson, Oliver, Robert and Brooke Cashion all of Fallbrook, CA
