Treven Blake Pitts, 10

May 28, 2014 – April 28, 2025

SMITHVILLE – Treven Blake Pitts gained his angel wings on Monday, April 28, 2025, from UAB’s Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham. Treven was 10 years old and the son of Josh Pitts (Samantha) of Amory and Caroline Gillespie (Mark) of Smithville. He dearly loved his two younger brothers, Ethan and Brennan. Treven was beloved by family and all his friends and will be long remembered for his gentle spirit, his encouragement of others and his many talents including his athleticism, his love of his church, Bethel Apostolic, and all his friends at Smithville Elementary School.

Born in New Albany on May 28, 2014, to Josh Pitts and Caroline Gillespie, Treven was a handsome red headed, vivacious baby full of life and love from the beginning. He grew up in Bethel Apostolic Church where his “old soul” persona taught him to appreciate faith, family and friends and where he loved playing guitar and singing. Treven enjoyed coffee all his life, was quite athletic playing flag football and also was in the Basketball League at Smithville Elementary School where he was nearing completion of the 4th grade. He lit up every room he entered with his warm inviting personality and his encouragement of everyone he met. He loved babies and they loved his calming influence. Treven loved wrestling, video games, Larry Bird and Steph Curry, all things Mississippi State, drawing, coloring and painting. He had just been selected for the Beta Club at Smithville School which vouched for his academic strength and desire to learn. Treven made a large impact in his all too brief 10 years, 11 months, and two-day earthly pilgrimage.

A Life Celebration service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Bethel Apostolic Church (800 Tschudi Road, Amory, MS 38821) with Pastor Stanley Blaylock officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time on Saturday, all at the church. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to serve their friends. (662 840 5000)
