Troy “Steve” Pannell, 65

New Albany, MS – Troy Stephen “Steve” Pannell passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Diversicare in Ripley, MS. Steve was born December 30, 1958, in New Albany, MS, to Troy Edward Pannell and Margaret Norma Baggett Pannell.
He was a self-employed Draftsman. He had a special talent for drafting and designing house plans, with a keen eye for detail and functionality. Steve was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed fishing, and practicing his marksmanship skills with his collection of guns. On the other hand, Steve was also a tech-savvy individual who had a deep passion for computers, and in addition to that, he loved guitars. But, his true obsession was with tobasco sauce – he put it on everything, he couldn’t get enough of the fiery condiment. He always had a bottle on hand everywhere he went. It was his secret ingredient that added an extra kick to his life. He was truly a unique and multi-faceted individual. He was a member of Keownville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Edward Pannell and Randy Pannell, his nieces, Sherri Paseur (Bobby), Crystal Howell (Chris), Paula Pannell, Robbie Frazier, and his nephew Ethan Pannell (Lindsey).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Ann Forshea.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with service beginning at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Roy Forshea and Bro. Jerry Bishop officiating. All times will be at United Funeral Service. Burial will be at Keownville Cemetery.
