Twins celebrate 67th birthday together with a street party
It was a big birthday party on Jackson Street in New Albany Saturday afternoon, July 24th.
It was the 67th birthday of twins, Betty Cook White and James H. Cook, Sr.
James Cook said he started cooking barbecue for his family, friends, and neighbors at 3 o’clock that morning.
The party started about 3 p.m. Several dozen people enjoyed music, conversation, plenty of food, cold beer and soft drinks for the children on a hot July afternoon with the temperature in the low 90s.
The Cook twins were raised in Blue Mountain, but have lived for a long time in New Albany.
The party was over well before dark.
