Union County Job Fair with area employers to be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church
Three Rivers Planning and Development District is partnering with the Union County Development Association (UCDA) and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES) to host a job fair in New Albany.
On Wednesday, October 20th, 30 employers from the New Albany area will gather at Hillcrest Baptist Church to secure future employees. The Job Fair will begin at 10:00 A.M. and will end at 2:00 P.M. The address of Hillcrest Baptist Church is 216 Hwy. 15 South.
All people that are currently receiving unemployment benefits that live in Union County and the surrounding areas will be required to attend the job fair. MDES has mailed notices to those who will be required to attend and failure to attend could impact their benefits.
The Director of the Division of Workforce Development at Three Rivers, Terry Treadaway believes this is a great way to get employers and job seekers together. “Our goal is to assist our industrial and business partners to secure the workforce needed for them to be successful and to give our citizens an opportunity to have a meaningful career. There will be job opportunities for everyone who attends the job fair.”
For a list of jobs offered go to www.jobfairs.ms.gov and click on Job Listing for Upcoming Job Fairs then click on Union County Area Job Fair. It will show a listing of jobs offered by each employer participating in the job fair.
