Union County officials, jurors praised for service in murder trial

In May of this year, a murder trial was moved from Clay county to Union County on a change of venue.  Following the trial, Circuit Judge Jim Kitchens wrote the letter below, informing Union County citizens of the high-calibre performance of Circuit Clerk Phyllis Stanford and Sheriff Jimmie Edwards, and their offices, as well as the Union County citizens who served on the jury for this difficult trial.

The letter contains high praise for the good work of all involve.
