Original post:
If you have a teen entering 7th grade this year, get the required Tdap vaccination quickly and easily at one of our county health departments.
Special clinic days have been scheduled for July and August where no appointment is required so that teens ages 10-17 can receive immunizations quickly. It’s also the perfect time to make sure your teen is fully protected with other recommended immunizations for adolescents.
In addition to Tdap, vaccinations against meningococcal disease and human papillomavirus (HPV) are highly recommended to completely protect adolescents. The risk of meningococcal disease rises in the teen and college years, and HPV vaccination protects against cancers later in life caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
No appointment is required for your teen on these special clinic dates. Parents should bring a copy of their child’s immunization record.
