Voice–Over artist Andy Fields coming to Museum Moments July 19
You may not know his face, but you might his voice. Andy Fields of Oxford is one of the voices of Five Nights with Freddy, as well as others. He will be at the Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany on Thursday, July 19, at noon.
Fields, who has dabbled in “other voices” for years, was a mathematics teacher at the University of Mississippi until his voice work grew to the point that his side gig became his main gig, he said.
By the way, if you don’t know Five Nights With Freddy, it’s a video game in which the player takes on the role of a night-time employee at a fictional children’s-oriented restaurant. Some of the characters include Freddy, Toy Chica, Mangle, BB etc.
You might have also heard Fields’ voice in many other ways. He can morph into many different voices, from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator to a dog with motion sickness to the voice of your favorite eLearning expert that you might hear on online classes.
Before he was a voice actor, he worked as a teacher, college professor, soldier, emergency medical tech, waiter, bartender, furniture salesman, driver, golf caddie, government contractor, small business owner and a drummer. He remains a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He has been deployed in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan fighting in the Global War on Terror.
Come to Museum Moments, and you will hear his story, and some of his many voices on Thursday, July 19, 12 noon. Lunch begins at 11:30.
This is a free event at the museum located at 114 Cleveland Street in New Albany. Call 662-538-0014 for more information.
