November 28, 1957 – March 5, 2025

William Albert Reed, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. Born on November 28, 1957, in New Albany, MS, William lived a life marked by dedication, love, and quiet strength.

William was the beloved husband of Janet Lynn Williams Reed. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter, raising two sons, Justin Keith Reed (Ashley) and William Craig Reed, who were William’s pride and joy. His legacy continues through his four adoring grandchildren, MaKenzie Lynn Reed, Katie Jane Reed, Jaycee Grace Reed, and Wesley Hayes Reed, who will miss their grandfather’s gentle presence and unwavering support.

William was the steadfast brother to James Hayes Reed, Charles Curtis Reed (Barbara), and Joe Allen Reed (Ann). He was preceded in death by his father, Kendric Hayes Reed, and mother, Ruby Earlene Butler Reed. His family remembers him as a man who was always ready to lend a hand, embodying the virtues of hard work and generosity.

Professionally, William was a respected diesel mechanic and the former owner and operator of Taylor’s Restaurant. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his contributions to his field were significant and lasting.

In his younger years, William’s passions included hunting and race cars, hobbies that reflected his adventurous spirit and love for life. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes about his character—handy, generous, and always willing to help others without expecting anything in return.

William Albert Reed’s memory will be treasured by all who knew him, as a man who provided for his family, shared his skills with the world, and made a lasting impact on the hearts of many. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind.
