William Franklin “Frank” Thomas, 62

October 20, 1963 – March 16, 2026

William Franklin “Frank” Thomas, 62, of Shannon, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, as a result of an accident.

Frank was born on October 20, 1963, in Missouri to Dewey and Judith Morrison Thomas. He was a graduate of Mooreville High School in Mooreville, Mississippi, and later earned his associate degree from Itawamba Community College. Frank went on to become a certified electrician, a trade he dedicated himself to for many years until his health declined. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Frank had a generous spirit and a heart for helping others. He volunteered with the Salvation Army, serving as a sponsor for individuals struggling with addiction—work that was deeply meaningful to him. In his free time, he found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and he had a special talent for woodworking, particularly whittling.

He is survived by his sister, Denice Lundskow of Austin, Texas; his brother, Stanley D. Thomas (Kim) of Michigan; his niece, Michele Jones (Zayne) and their son, Reece, of Austin, Texas; his nephew, Shane Patton (Crystal) and their daughter, Emilia, of Missouri; along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Tammy Lynn Thomas; his brother, Patrick Thomas; and his brother-in-law, Rick Lundskow.

A private service will be held at a later date.
