Willie Green, 63

June 21, 1961 – April 11, 2025 

Mr. Willie “Blupie” Green, Jr. was born on June 21, 1961, to the late Willie Jr. Green and Essie Mae (Elliott) Green.

Willie attended the Corinth MS School District. He was employed at Suitor Meat Company for 20 years before becoming ill.

Blupie as we called him enjoyed working in his yard, taking care of his pets, and conversating with his friends and family. He loved taking care of his plants. In his younger years, he loved playing basketball and had a passion for cross word puzzles.

Preceding him in death, his parents Willie Jr. Green and Essie Mae Green; two sisters: Rachel Green Hubbard and Tunerular Yvette Green; a brother Willie F. Gray; his grandparents Authur Elliot, Mary W. Chambles (Elliot) Morris, Will Morris, Calovis Green, Iola Haddie (Jones) Dyer and Hurbert Dyer; two nephews Adelphine Lamar Green and Donniel Green; one niece Iwanna Green; a brother-in-law Calvin “CD” Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son Deneaco Hubbard-Green; two grandchildren Amari Hubbard of New Albany, MS and Amarianna Hubbard of Corinth, MS; a son and daughter that he accepted as his own Dondre Green and Chiquita Campfield. He also leaves two brothers William Earl Green of Indianapolis, Indiana and Chauncy Gray of Springfield, VT; three sisters: Muriel (Ira) Perry of Corinth, MS, Carmel “Tutti” Davis of Corinth, MS, and Sheryl K. Burton of Finger, TN; his aunts Diane Kelly of Charleston, South Carolina and Mary Hodges of Texas; a longtime companion Sherry Vauncannon of Corinth, MS; special friends: Maurice Perkins, Wesley Scales, Michael Triplett, Nupie Spears and Johnny Ray Rodgers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
