Willie “Zeke” James Hale, 71

Willie “Zeke” James Hale, 71,  of Byhalia, MS, transitioned on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Baptist East Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Willie James Hale “Zeke” was born October 11, 1953, in Red Banks, MS, to the late Will Bob Hale and Wilma Martin Hale. On Friday, March 21, 2025, he transitioned at Baptist Memorial Hospital, in Memphis, TN.

Willie accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a member of True Faith M.B. Church, in Piperton, TN, where he was an Usher.  He was a graduate of Sand Flat High School.  He was a member of a Motorcycle Club, and he was an entertainer, member of several social clubs, loved listening to music, loved playing baseball, and football.

Willie leaves to cherish his loving memories, fiancé: Teresa Wells of Byhalia, MS: sons: Fredrick Hampton of Grand Junction, TN, Eric Hale (Carol) of Rossville, TN and Reginald Garrison (Kristin) of Olive Branch, MS; two daughters: Courtney Hale of Cordova, TN and Brittany Hale of Carrollton, TX; three brothers: Leon Key of Jonesboro, GA, John Lumpkin (Iris) of Dallas, TX, and Herman Hale (Jo Allen) of Byhalia, MS; four sisters: Bobby Ann Newton (Johnny) of Ann Arbor, MI, Melody Hale, Ida Sue Hardaway and Sandra Denise Hale, all of Byhalia, MS; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Robert Bowers of Memphis, TN; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his loving parents: Will Bob Hale and Wilma Martin Hale; two sisters: Lurlean Saulsberry and Jannie Bowers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at True Faith M.B. Church, 125 Patrick Drive. Collierville, TN  38017.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 12:00 Noon, at LaGoshen M.B. Church (Family Life Center), 490 LaGoshen Drive, Moscow, TN  38057.

Burial will take place at True Faith M.B. Church Cemetery, 125 Patrick Drive. Collierville, TN  38017.
