Would-be assassin slightly wounds Trump at PA rally; shooter and at least one bystander dead

Trump slightly wounded in possible assassination attempt at PA rally

Secret Service rushed former President Trump off the stage after gunfire broke out at a rally in Butler, PA. Witnesses heard seven or eight shots. The shooter is dead and at least one other bystander was killed. It’s not clear from current reporting whether he was killed by Secret Service but that will soon become clear.

Pictures show Trump bleeding from his right ear as he was escorted off stage and it appears he was grazed by a bullet. Video from the moment of the shooting shows Trump talking, several loud pops and Trump grabbing his right ear before ducking down behind the podium. Trump appeared buoyant as Secret Service rushed him off, pumping his fist in the air and mouthing the word “fight”.
