Zane Bigman Ash, 48

January 4, 1976  –  November 8, 2024

Plantersville, MS – Zane Ballard Bigman (Ash) died quietly at his Plantersville residence on Nov. 8, 2024. He was 48 yrs old. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, his father was the late Edward Sullivan Bigman and his mother, who survives, is Katherine Castillo Bigman Clanton. Zane made his way to the Tupelo area two years ago and was working for Cooper Tire/Goodyear and volunteered for the Cavaliers at the time of his death. Zane, a Native American Indian, was a devout believer/participant in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (Mormon). He traveled the USA most of his life doing volunteer work as a means to share his faith. A master landscaper, he would often do landscaping jobs as he traveled to provide the resources for his missionary work, leaving yards immaculate and well groomed. A pianist and organist, Zane loved making music, listening to all genres of music and singing with the voice of an angel. He was a horticulture graduate of and was a fan of Brigham Young University. He now is in the hands of his loving Heavenly Father.



The family held a private local service at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo, and will hold a memorial service at the Page Fourth Ward Building in Page, Arizona on December 6, 2024 at 11 AM. Zane will be buried on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona.

He is survived by his mother, Katherine Clanton; a brother, Grant Bigman; a sister Rolaine Bearthart of the Chippawa Indian Reservation in Wisconsin; and his twin sister, Zeann Begay of Sandy, Utah; his husband, James Ash, and his extended family and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs Reba and Ava.
