Relay for life goes “Back to the Future” Friday June 5th

One of the most emotional events of the year will be taking place June 5, 2015 at the BNA Park. Of course, we are talking about Union County’s annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The 17^th annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at the BNA Park. The opening ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and the event will run through 11PM. This year’s theme is “Back to the Future.” We would like to invite everyone to come on out and have a blast from the past!

Folks of all ages are encouraged and invited to dress up and come out for the fun. This event is open to the community and those who attend will have the opportunity to purchase food, enjoy live local entertainment, and participate in numerous activities that take place. It is night filled with tons of fun! Year after year, and last year’s event was no exception, hundreds of people filled the Park and had a great time for a great cause!

As stated by Rick Lemmons, “Our committee, Sponsors, and teams work really hard, anything from boiling crawfish, to standing over a hot grill cooking all day, the teams we have this year are focused on making this another fun and meaningful event!.” Johnny Hamlin has put together an exciting entertainment lineup to keep us entertained throughout the event!
