Jimmy Leon Crumpton, 70, died Friday, January 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County. He was born August 1, 1948, in New Albany to Wade and Grace Frazier Crumpton. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was retired from Piper Impact where he worked for 38 years. He loved singing gospel songs, watching western movies, going to basketball games, and spending time with his family.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2018, at United Funeral Service with Bro. Marty Merritt officiating. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Shelly Tanner (B. J.), Larrie Hogue (Gerald), and Brandi Crumpton, all of New Albany; 1 sister: Frances Rutledge of Pinedale; 3 brothers: Lamar Crumpton (Sue) of Papaw, IL., David Crumpton of Sardis, MS., and Donald Crumpton of Mantachie, MS.; 7 grandchildren: Brittany Jeter, John Tanner, Laura Hogue, Gara Beth Self, Landon Crumpton, Adin Crumpton, and Allie Crumpton; and 1 great-grandchild: Jaden Jeter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Brenda Thompson Crumpton; 2 sisters: Belle Wilhite and Mae Donahue; and 1 brother: Gene Crumpton.

Pallbearers will be John Tanner, Landon Crumpton, Adin Crumpton, and Patrick Jeter. Honorary pallbearer will be Jaden Jeter.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, at United Funeral Service.
