Self-inflicted gunshot apparently killed New Albany woman
An elderly New Albany woman died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound mid-afternoon Friday, October 25, 2019.
According to information furnished to NAnewsweb.com by Union County Coroner Pam Boman and New Albany Police Chief Chris Robertson, the woman died at her home on South Central Avenue.
She was 84 years old. Public safety officials said the woman had been in declining health.
Chief Robertson said shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, “We’re crossing our ‘T’s and dotting our ‘I’s as we always do in the case of gunshot deaths. At this time we have no reason to suspect foul play.”
