Woman charged with Myrtle residential burglary
Jamiya Jakaylen Moore, 22, of Myrtle has been charged with a residential burglary there.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, that a burglary that had taken place at 1028 Church St. in Myrtle in which items were stolen from the residence.
Deputies responded to the scene and took the report from the victim. Investigators with the sheriff’s office received the report and upon further investigation it was determined that Jamiya Jakaylen Moore, 22, of Myrtle, was the person responsible for the burglary.
Moore was located and arrested by the Union County Sheriff’s Office on the morning of Wednesday Jan. 29.
She is charged with burglary of a dwelling and her bond was set at $10,000. This case will be presented to the next scheduled convening of the Union County Grand Jury in March.
“Upon gathering evidence, Investigators were able to quickly identify Jamiya Moore as a suspect in this case,” Chief Deputy Baron Baker said. “There was sufficient evidence to file charges against Ms. Moore and she was arrested for burglary of a dwelling.”
