A two-vehicle accident on Munsford Drive near the Glendale Road intersection shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday interfered with traffic until about 1:30 p.m.
Officers were investigating the cause but a pickup truck and 18-wheeler hauling a load of soybeans apparently collided at the intersection. The pickup was heavily damaged, as was the cab of the tractor, but those at the scene said no one was entrapped or seriously injured.
Debris from the pickup was scattered over a wide area but the bigger problem was that the large truck overturned, spilling soybeans over a large area as well.
It was not clear whether the trailer could be rightened without unloading the soybeans.
