New Albany municipal officials to take oaths of office Tuesday

All municipal officials elected June 8 will take office at the beginning of July.

New Albany’s mayor, police chief and aldermen will take their oaths of office Tuesday, July 6, at 5 p.m. prior to the 5:30 p.m. board meeting.

The meeting will take place in the boardroom upstairs in City Hall.

Most other municipalities will apparently hold their swearing-in ceremonies at their first meetings as well.
