MHP arrested Dan McKnight, Pontotoc County District 5 Supervisor, for DUI, careless driving, speeding
Gary Dan McKnight, Pontotoc County District 5 Supervisors, was arrested early Sunday morning, May 29, by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
He was booked into the Pontotoc County jail.
McKnight was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), careless driving, speeding, and no driver’s license on demand.
The arrest was made on Highway 15 in Pontotoc County by an officer of Troop F of the Highway Patrol at 2:39 a.m. Sunday morning.
NEMiss.News has not been able to confirm that McKnight was driving a Pontotoc County motor vehicle at the he time of his arrest.
According to the office of Pontotoc County Sheriff Leo Mask, Knight was released from the jail at 4:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
McKnight was elected as a Democrat to represent Pontotoc’s District 5 in the general election on Nov. 5, 2019.
