Many downtown roads to be closed as of 5:30pm Friday for Tallahatchie Riverfest
According to information posted by Tallahatchie Riverfest planners at approximately 3:00 pm on Thursday September 26, Riverfest visitors and local traffic should be aware of the following areas to be closed to vehicle traffic.
Please prepare in advance for the following road closures that will take place from Friday, September 27th through Sunday, September 29th. Please note that Main Street will remain open for traffic.
Street & Alleys to be closed (Times Subject to Change)
West Bankhead Street and Main Street: CLOSED 5:30pm, Friday, September 27th – 2:00am Sunday, September 29th. 
MAIN INTERSECTION WILL REMAIN Open
ADDITIONAL ROADS TO BE CLOSED 5:30pm, Friday, September 27th – 2:00am Sunday, September 29th.
- Tallahatchie Nutrition and Southern Traditions Alley
- Highland Street and Railroad Ave
- East Bankhead Street and Court Street (leaving access to ATM)
- Park Entrance on Main Street
- Park Entrance on Carter Street
- Cooper Park Alley
Other Closings
- East Bankhead and Camp Street: CLOSED 5:00am, Saturday, September 27th – 4:00pm Saturday, September 29th.
Important reminders for downtown merchants:
Please be advised that WEST & EAST BANKHEAD STREET will close on Friday, September 27th at 5:30 PM and will reopen on Sunday, September 29th at 2:00 AM due to the Tallahatchie Riverfest.
– All vehicles must be removed from the area no later than 6:00 PM on Friday, September 27th. Any vehicle left behind will be towed at the owner’s expense.**
– During the festival, sidewalks must remain open. Please do not sit on the sidewalks as they are designated for emergency access only.
