On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Aubrey Kay Powell, 3 months, 9 days old and resident of Walnut, passed away peacefully at 1:46 pm surrounded by her family at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral Services for Aubrey will be at 2 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Swinford officiating. Visitation will also be Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 11 AM until service time with burial to follow in County Line Cemetery.
Born October 21, 2024, in New Albany to Rebecca Porterfield and Corey Powell of Walnut, Aubrey weighed 5lbs, 13oz and was 21 inches long.
In the short time she was here her life spoke volumes. Aubrey loved swinging and being talked and sung to. She especially loved her granny to hold and rock her.
In addition to her biological mother and father, precious memories will continue to be shared by her bonus parents, Dustin and Shannon Lewis of Walnut, her great great grandmother, Barbara Cameron of Walnut, three sisters, Anna, Montana, Leanna Lewis and three brothers, Braylon and Rylan Lewis and Ashton Vickers.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14
