Terry “6’4” Gorman, 52, transitioned on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Norton Hospital, in Louisville, KY.

Terry Gorman was born May 16, 1972, to the late Margaret Gorman and J.T. Jones, at John Gaston Hospital, in Memphis, TN.

On Monday, February 10, 2025, Terry transitioned from this earthly life at Norton Hospital, in Louisville, KY.

Terry accepted Christ at an early age and joined Concord M.B. Church, under the leadership of Pastor Clyde Williams.  He was a member of the Male Choir; he loved playing basketball and even played softball with the Slayden Sluggers and many other teams in the Mississippi and Tennessee area.  He enjoyed being around his family, listening to music, joking, and cooking for the holidays.

Terry leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife: Sharon Ingram Gorman of Winchester, KY;  one daughter: NaDeirdra Gorman of Grand Junction, TN; one son: Travell Brown of Holly Springs, MS; two grandchildren: Cayceon Perry and NaSiya Stephens of Grand Junction, TN; six brothers: Gregory Gorman, Antonio Gorman both of Memphis, TN, John Lee Jones, Kent Jones, Danny Jones, Joe Jones, all of Slayden, MS; three uncles: Clarence Gorman  and Eddie (Arlean) Gorman both of Slayden, MS, Hardy Strickland of Somerville, TN; three aunts: Marlene Gorman of Ashland, MS, Venelsa Buntyn of Rossville, TN, Dorothy Strickland of Memphis, TN, a host of nephews, nieces, close relatives and friends to cherish his memory.

Terry was preceded in death by his loving parents: Margaret Gorman and J.T. Jones; his brother LaShawn Gorman; sisters: Mary Jones and Ora Jean Hayes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Serenity Funeral Home, 140 N. Memphis St., Holly Springs, MS  38635.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., Concord M.B. Church, 755 Concord Road, Lamar, MS  38642.

Burial will  be Concord M.B. Church Cemetery.
