Mooreville – Mr. Tommy Glen Moore, age 70, died Monday, April 14, 2025 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1954 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Elmo Moore and Myrtle Gillentine Slater and grew up in the Dorsey community. He was married to Lucille Wilson on March 25, 1971 and they shared 51 years of marriage until her death August 9, 2022. He worked as a Distribution Manager, employed by Reed’s Manufacturing for 38 years before retiring. They lived several years in Waukegan, IL, and returned to Northeast Mississippi in 1983, living in Pontotoc County all of that time before moving to Mooreville where he and Lucille lived the last 20 years.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with Bro. Steve Driskell officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time Thursday only. Private burial will take place at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc County. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 1 PM at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming where it will be afterward archived. He is survived by his children, Rick Moore (Heather) of Mantachie, and Heidi Barnett (John) of Okolona; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Shelby Bryant (Dominick), Lacey Bryant, Justin Webb, Shelby Ganus, Jeff Sears (Raya), Bella Ganus, Isaiah Thomason, Dulaney Thomason, Memori Webb, Clayton Webb, Kylie Barnett, Faith Barnett, Wes Barnett, and Tazlynn Bridges; and his brother, Tim Baldwin (Toni) of McHenry, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Slater and Elmo Moore, and his wife, Lucille.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Lambert, John Long, Jake McDonald, John Barnett, George Wilson, and Boyce Wilson.
