Timothy Paul “Tim” Satterfield, 58
September 12, 1966 – June 11, 2025
“By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you shall return” – Genesis 3:19
On June 11, 2025, our beloved brother, uncle and friend, Timothy Paul “Tim” Satterfield 58, resident of Ashland, passed away quietly in the comfort of his home. Funeral Services honoring Tim will be at 3 PM on Monday, June 16 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness’s in Holly Springs, 1787 MS Hwy 178 Holly Springs, MS 38635. Visitation will follow immediately following the service. Burial will be at 11 AM Tuesday, June 17 in the Ashland City Cemetery.
Tim was born September 12, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Paul Russo and Barbara Hensley Agrusa. He was a graduate of Lake Shore High School in St. Claire Shore, Michigan and continued his education in Culinary Arts at Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan.
Tim can be described by many characteristics, a practical joker, entertainer, perfectionist, kind and generous. He traveled the world, listened to Pop music and enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers. After traveling, he settled down in the small rural town of Ashland where his passion for cooking led him to co-own and operate Cio Chow Italian Restaurant. The restaurant got its humble beginnings in Ashland and then moved to its larger location in downtown New Albany where many people will remember Tim’s truly exceptional talent as a chef. He could have easily worked professionally, but for him, food was about more than technique —it was about connection, and he poured love into every plate he served.
A devoted Jehovah Witness, Tim’s faith and service to Jehovah never wavered and all who knew him, knew about his love for and faith in Jehovah God. He was taken far too soon, leaving behind a void that can never be filled for the countless people who were lucky enough to have known and loved him.
Those left to cherish Tim’s memory includes four sisters, Rosa Russo of Macomb, MI, Rhonda Sadro (John) of St. Claire Shores, Patricia Jokerst (Chris) of Montgomery, TX and Carla Yates of MI, two brothers, Alexander Agrusa of Clinton Township, MI and Vincent Agrusa of Spring, TX, a host of nieces and nephews, Robert, Jason, Jacob, Joann, Chloe, Jessica, Desire, Jayla, Jason, Josiah and one special niece, Ashly Fuller.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Middleton and Sebastian Agrusa.
