Bobby Wayne Jones, 70, resident of Ripley, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth following an extended illness.
Funeral Services honoring the life of Bobby will be at 1 PM Monday, June 23 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Ray Vuncannon officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 Pm at The Ripley Funeral Home with burial following in the Hatchie Chapel Cemetery in Alcorn County.
Bobby was born January 30, 1955, in Corinth, MS, the son of the late Leon “Jabo” Jones and the late Doris Crum Reynolds. He was a graduate of the Union Center School System and was a Maintenance Tech for Ashley Furniture Corporation for 20 years before retiring.
A member of Hatchie Chapel Church, Bobby will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who loved a “good” argument. He enjoyed hunting, quality time with his grandchildren, grilling, cooking and could smoke a “mean” pork.
Precious memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 25 years, Glenda Grace Jones, two daughters, Angie Frazier and Sandra Jones, two sons, Brandon Wommack and Joshua Rorie, one sister, Anita Clingan, two brothers, Dennis Jones and Gary Jones, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Gregory Jones, one sister, Lisa Umbers and a brother Jimmy Jones.
