Fred Allen Lamb, 56

September 30, 1968 – July 1, 2025

PLANTERSVILLE – Fred Allen “Bubba” Lamb, Jr. closed his earthly pilgrimage and found a new home in the sky where the music is still loud and his pain is no more. Bubba died at North Mississippi Medical Center on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 after a period of declining health. Bubba was 56 years old. Born in Tupelo on September 30, 1968 to the late Fred Lamb, Sr. and Helen Adams Lamb, who survives, Bubba was an independent spirit who enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, working hard all his life, listening to many genres of music and the fellowship of friends and his family, whom he loved. He enjoyed the last decade with his companion and girlfriend, Lois Sanders, and her sons, J.T. and Marcus Sanders. A master furniture builder, Bubba worked many years at Action Furniture, Home Stretch and American Furniture Manufacturers. He spent the last years working with his brother-in-law and sister at Legendary Plumbing. He had a serious side but was also a clown and cut up with his nieces, nephews and other friends, a trait he took from his late Dad, Fred.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 5 PM Monday, July 7, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Fred Lamb officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4 PM-service time on Monday all at the funeral home.
