Kenny Wayne Crum, 64

 September 6, 1961 – October 15, 2025

Kenny Wayne Crum, age 64, departed this earthly life and entered into his Heavenly Home on Wednesday morning, October 15, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services honoring Mr. Kenny’s life will be at 1 PM Monday, October 20, 2025, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service. Bro. Titus Mathis will officiate, and burial will follow in the Hatchie Chapel Cemetery, with a brief graveside prayer.

Born on September 6, 1961, in the old Magnolia Hospital, Mr. Kenny was the son of the late J.C. and Ruth Taylor Crum. He received his education from Union Center School before following in his father’s footsteps and beginning a lifelong career in logging at the young age of eleven. Logging wasn’t just a job—it was a way of life for Mr. Kenny, a trade he took great pride in, and one that shaped his character through hard work, grit, and perseverance.

In 1997, Mr. Kenny married his beloved wife, Mrs. Ann Crabb Crum, who survives. Together, they shared a simple, meaningful life built on faith, love, and the kind of happiness that doesn’t come from material things but from time spent with family and the beauty of everyday moments.

A Christian man with a gentle heart, Mr. Kenny knew that life’s greatest blessings could never be bought—they were found in laughter shared around a table, in the peace of a quiet morning, or the joy of rocking on the front porch with a cup of coffee in hand. He was content with what he had, grateful for those he loved, and rich in the ways that truly mattered.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—horseback riding, trading chickens at First Monday Trade Day, and relaxing in the comfort of home. His easy-going spirit and humble nature made him someone people were naturally drawn to, and his family will forever remember the warmth of his smile and the calmness of his presence.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Kenny has now found rest in the presence of the Lord. The trials of this life are behind him, and he is finally at peace—free from pain, reunited with loved ones gone before, and held in the eternal arms of his Savior.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ann, memories are continued to be cherished by two one daughter, Tracy Smith, two sons, Coty Smith and Christopher Crum, four brothers, Ray Crum (Dawn), Gary Crum. Luther Crum (Gracie), and Junior Crum (Jan), eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Linda Mercer, Vicki Bright, Donna Mercer, and four brothers, David Crum, Jerry Crum, Hershel Crum, and Dewayne Crum.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memoires with Mr. Kenny’s family.
