September 20, 1947 – November 12, 2025
Charles Gerald Tubbs Sr., a man of faith, devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on November 12, 2025, after battling a short illness. He was born in 1947 in Amory Mississippi, to the union of Alberta Green and Charles W. Tubbs. From an early age he accepted Christ and continued to carry a steadfast sense of duty that guided him through a life he richly lived.
Charles graduated from West Amory High School in 1964. In 1972, Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy before transferring to the United States Army Reserve. His military career took him to Germany and many other areas where he carried himself with honor and dedication.
After his service, Charles began a long fulfilling career at Daybrite, where he worked for over thirty years. There he met his beautiful wife, Daisy Tubbs, as their love story continues, together they built a life rooted in faith, love, and family. Charles loved and cared for his wife for over 30 years until she was welcomed back into the Lords arms January 03, 2025. After retirement, it did not slow Charles down. He cherished time with his family, especially his wife and grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He loved hunting and fishing, finding peace and purpose in the great outdoors and in the stories shared around the founder’s hearth.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife Daisy Tubbs, mother (Alberta Green), father (Charles W. Tubbs), brother (Cylde Whitfield) and daughters (May Hampton and Wanda Tubbs).
