Janie Ruth Thomas Crumpton, was a beacon of adventurous spirit and loving grace throughout her 84 years of life. Born on April 18, 1941, in Union County, Janie’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on February 2, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS.
Janie’s life was marked by her unwavering Christian faith, a testament to her membership at New Hope Baptist Church. Her work ethic was unparalleled, which was evident to all who knew her during her tenure at Piper Impact, where she retired after years of dedicated service. Janie’s creativity and love for life were infused in all her endeavors, whether she was crafting a beautiful garden, cooking a delicious meal, or tending her vibrant flowers that brought joy to everyone around her.
Her adventurous spirit was contagious, and she was incredibly proud of skydiving at the age of 70—a story she relished sharing with a twinkle in her eye, alongside the video evidence, at every family gathering. Janie’s love for her pets, Charlie the dog and Jack the cat, was a reflection of her caring and nurturing heart. She has many memories of laughter and fun times of playing at the casinos.
