Paula Grissom Anglin, 76

September 12, 1949  –  February 8, 2026

Tupelo-Paula Grissom Anglin met her Creator from her Tupelo residence after a sudden illness. She was 76 years old. A lifelong Lee Countian, Paula was born in Tupelo on Sept. 12, 1949 to the late Paul Grissom and the late Helen Phillips Grissom Wood. She grew up in Saltillo and graduated from Saltillo High School in l967. While in High School, she also got her licenses to practice cosmetology. Her beauty career lasted some 56 years right up to the time of her death. She made and met so many customers over these years enjoying her association with a wide circle of friends. Her hair styling credentials were always top drawer and personally attended to with perfection. For over 4 decades, she owned Paula’s Beauty Bizarre. A strong, independent lady, Paula enjoyed her “bling”! She often dressed to the “9’s” and loved her trips to Smith Lake in Alabama as well as country music. Her greatest love was that of her two children and her 5 grandchildren which she daily doted over following all their school and extracurricular activities. Paula was a longtime member of Harrisburg Baptist Church.

A service celebrating her life will take place at 1 PM Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Jimmy Flake officiating. Private burial will be in the Grissom family plot at Tupelo Memorial Park on Joyner. Visitation will begin at 11 AM Thurs only at Holland-Tupelo Chapel which is honored to be serving their friends.

Paula is survived by her children, Allison McGregor and husband, Collin of Pontotoc and Brandon Anglin of Saltillo; Gran Gran and Gigi’s grandchildren., Anna Clair, Trey, Molly Kate, Henley and Waylon; her siblings and all their families and a special cousin, Judy DeShong of Tupelo and a host of friends.

The family asks that donations in memory of Paula be sent to Sanctuary Hospice House, P. O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38803. For those unable to attend, the service may be watched at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming at 1 PM, and will be archived thereafter.
