Patricia Arlene “Mrs. Pat” Gogins Hall, 78
July 19, 1947 – March 29, 2026
Patricia Arlene Gogins Hall, known to those who loved her most as Mrs. Pat, gently laid down the burdens of this life and entered into her eternal rest on Sunday evening, March 29, 2026, at her daughter’s residence, surrounded by the love of her family.
In honoring her wishes, Mrs. Pat will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Her family humbly asks for your continued prayers and thoughts during this time of loss, while they cherish the many memories she leaves behind.
Born on July 19, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Pat was the beloved daughter of the late Roy and Lala Thomson Gogins. She was a proud graduate of Parker High School and later continued her education at Olive Harvey College in Chicago, where she earned her associate degree in special education. Throughout her life, she exemplified what it meant to serve others, devoting herself wholeheartedly to her family and home. A true caregiver at heart, Mrs. Pat created a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love for all who entered her doors.
A faithful Christian and member of the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, Mrs. Pat was truly a Proverbs 31 woman in every sense. She found great joy in the Word of God, studying it daily and lifting her voice often in prayer. In her earlier years, she sang proudly in the Rev. Milton Brunson and Thompson Community Singers Group, using her voice to glorify the Lord she so dearly loved.
Beyond her faith, Mrs. Pat delighted in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She was a gifted cook, well known for her delicious potato salad that brought family and friends together time and time again. She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and above all, spending precious time with her family. Whether it was sharing a meal, singing together, or simply sitting in each other’s presence, those moments were where her heart was fullest. She never met a stranger, and her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we do not grieve without hope. We find peace in knowing that Mrs. Pat has been made whole, her body restored, and her soul rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. No longer bound by earthly pain, she now sings in Heaven’s choir, experiencing the fullness of joy prepared for her by her dear Savior, Jesus Christ.
Those left to cherish her beautiful memory include her daughters, Jackie Page (Carlos) and Alycia Levingston (Bol’ey); her son, Damon Hall, Jr.; one sister, Darlene Bell; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Deloris Johnson, and three brothers, Roy Gogins, Jr., Alan Gogins, and Kenneth Gogins.
Her life was a testament of faith, love, and devotion—and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
