Barbara Ann Rapp Kirby, 66

April 9, 1960 – May 4, 2026

Ms. Barbara Ann Rapp Kirby, age 66, departed this earthly life and entered into her Heavenly Home on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Tippah County Health and Rehab.

Honoring Ms. Barbara’s wishes, cremation arrangements had been entrusted to Ripley Funeral Home, and no public services scheduled at this time. Her family appreciates all thoughts and prayers shown during this difficult season of loss.

Born April 9, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, Ms. Barbara was the daughter of the late Ernest Kelly and Josie Ruth Jackson Rapp. She received her education from Kingsbury High School before dedicating much of her life to the profession she loved dearly. For over twenty years, she worked as a talented beautician and hairstylist throughout the Tennessee area, where she not only made lasting friendships, but also touched the lives of many through her caring heart and warm conversation.

A Christian by faith, Ms. Barbara was a woman who found comfort and happiness in the simple things life had to offer. After making Mississippi her home in recent years, she embraced a quieter way of life. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, working puzzles, and spending peaceful moments surrounded by those who cared for her most. Though life was not always easy, Ms. Barbara carried a quiet strength within her, and even in difficult times, there were those who stood faithfully beside her with love and unwavering care.

While Ms. Barbara may have lived a simple life, the impact she made upon those who truly knew and loved her will long remain. Her memory will be treasured, her presence deeply missed, and the moments shared with her forever held close in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kelly Clark; one brother, David Rapp; three grandchildren; one devoted niece; and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Faye Rapp, and one brother, Robert Rapp.
