Judson “Don” Sharp, 76
August 7, 1949 – June 2, 2026
Judson “Don” Sharp, 76, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Born on August 7, 1949, in Mississippi, Don was the son of Ivy Ardell Sharp and Georga Jo Walton Sharp. He grew up with a strong work ethic, a love for the outdoors, and a deep appreciation for family and faith that remained with him throughout his life.
Don earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and enjoyed a successful career, most recently working as a welding inspector. He was known for his knowledge, dedication, and attention to detail, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pontotoc. He loved spending time on the golf course, casting a line in the water while fishing, and making memories with those he loved most. His greatest pride, however, was his family.
He leaves behind his daughters, Taylor Lunn (Braden) of Pontotoc and Mary Jacob Mosley (Colby) of Toxey, Alabama; his brother, Payton Sharp of Escatawpa, Mississippi; and his beloved grandchildren, Harper Grace Lunn, Brooks Lunn, Harper Mosley, Hampton Mosley, and a precious baby granddaughter expected to arrive soon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Vivian Dell Sharp Sims.
Don will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, love of family, and the steady presence he provided to those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be treasured by all who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
