Eppa Carruthers, a loving, friendly, and faith-filled Christian, was born on December 22, 1949, to Arthur Love, Sr. and Canarania Frost Love, in Marshall County, Mississippi, and passed away on May 28, 2026, in Potts Camp, Mississippi.
Eppa lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and devotion to those she held dear. She was known for her warm spirit, her gentle manner, and the joy she brought to family and friends. Her presence was a comfort to many, and she carried herself with grace and dignity throughout her life. Those who knew her will remember her as a woman who loved deeply, welcomed others with an open heart, and found happiness in the simple blessings of everyday life.
Eppa attended St. Mary’s High School in Holly Springs, Mississippi, where she laid the foundation for the years ahead. She later worked at Duray Fluorescent Manufacturing Company in Chicago, Illinois, where she contributed her time and labor with dedication. Her work ethic reflected the same steady character that guided her life, and she was respected for her commitment and reliability. She also found strength and fellowship as a member of Baptist Hill M.B. Church in Potts Camp, Mississippi, where her Christian faith remained an important part of her life.
Eppa enjoyed dancing, cooking, sitting on the porch, and spending time around family and friends. These simple pleasures reflected the heart of who she was. She loved being surrounded by the people she cared about, and she treasured the fellowship and laughter that came with family gatherings. Her home and her heart were places of welcome, and she created memories that will be cherished for years to come.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Love, Sr., her mother, Canarania Frost Love, and her sister, Ella Wea Isom. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Arthur Love, Jr. of Potts Camp, Mississippi, her sister, Nellie Love of Potts Camp, Mississippi, and her aunt, Lora Coleman of Chicago, Illinois. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will continue to honor her life and legacy.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, 140 North Memphis Street, Holly Springs, MS 38635
Interment will follow at Baptist Hill M.B. Church Cemetery in Potts Camp, MS.
