February 5, 1978  –  June 2, 2026

Jeffrey Lamont Moore, Jr. who was born on February 5, 1978, in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away on June 2, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee, lived a life marked by love, laughter, hard work, and devotion to family.

He was the son of the late Peggy Sue Moore and Jeffery Lamont Moore.  Jeffrey was a beloved husband to Kimberly Hughes Moore of Memphis, TN, and a proud father to his children, Montdarious Traylor of Ashland, MS, and Kortnei Moore of Memphis, TN. He was also preceded in death by his daughters, Kylei Moore and Kenzei Moore, whose memories remained forever in his heart. Jeffrey leaves behind his brother, Nicholas Moore and Latristian of Memphis, TN, and his sister, Sheronda Stephens and Lorenzo of Mt. Pleasant, MS. He was a cherished grandfather to Kaylei Parks, Christopher L. Parks, Jr., Kae’lonei Parks, and Rayland Parks, and he also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jeffrey received his high school diploma and carried that foundation into a life of steady work and responsibility. He worked in construction as a truck driver, where his strong work ethic and dependable nature were valued by those who knew him. He was known as a man who could be counted on, and he took pride in doing his work well.

Outside of work, Jeffrey embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He loved four-wheeler racing and motorcycles, and he enjoyed the excitement and freedom that came with them. He was a master griller who took pride in preparing good food for family and friends, and he especially loved being around the people he cared about most. He also enjoyed working on electronics and could often be found fixing, adjusting, or improving something with patience and skill. He loved to talk, and his conversations were often filled with humor, insight, and the kind of honesty that made him memorable.

Jeffrey was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from the time he spent with those he loved. His family meant everything to him, and he showed that love through his presence, his laughter, and his willingness to help whenever he could. He had qualities that reflected both his personality and the way he approached life. He was also a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he enjoyed following his favorite team with the same passion he brought to the rest of his interests.

Those who knew Jeffrey will remember a man who lived with heart, strength, and a genuine spirit. His life was one of hard work, and love for family. Though his earthly journey has ended, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
