Jesse David McAnally, 35, died on August 11, 2026, in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was born on July 22, 1991, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to Van Houston McAnally and Jamie Ann McAnally.
Jesse was a lifelong resident of Lee County and was known for his hardworking nature, mechanical abilities, and love for the people and things that brought him joy. He worked as a carpenter and mechanic and was employed at the Ashley Furniture Store in Saltillo, Mississippi.
Jesse had many hobbies and interests that reflected his creative spirit. He enjoyed mechanical work, listening to music, playing the guitar, and drawing. He especially loved spending time with his friends and making memories with those close to him. Jesse also had a special love for his dogs, Chino and Nova Jean, who were an important part of his life. He also enjoyed the freedom and excitement of riding his motorcycle. Jesse will be remembered for his love of music, his talent for working with his hands, his creativity, and most of all, the memories he made with his family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be at 4 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Visitation will be from 2 PM-service time at 4 PM. Private family burial will take place at Tupelo Memorial Park. Holland Funeral Directors are honored to be serving the friends and family. Jesse is survived by his loving mother, Jamie McAnally; sons, Peyton and Carter McAnally; daughters, Malaya, Zaylee and Brinx McAnally; brother, James Michael Harper; sister, Kelly Nicole McAnally; nephew, Jacob Saylors and nieces, Haley Cotten and Summer Ballard.
He is preceded in death by his father, Van Houston McAnally; grandparents, James and Diane Cotton; uncles, Michael Foster and Alan Foster and aunt, Sandra Cotton.
