Thomas Allen Reeves, 55

Tupelo-Thomas Allen Reeves, 55, passed away suddenly at NMMC on Tuesday, August 12, 2026. Thomas was born May 2, 1971, in Tupelo to James and the late Betty Sue Reeves. Bubba, as he was known by many, began his working career as a sacker for a local grocery store. He expressed interest in becoming a butcher and finished his career as the butcher at Wal-Mart Grocery, a work he did with extreme care and competence. He had many friends who would explain all the time, “Thomas never met a stranger. His kindness was his trademark and he was friendly to all people. He would greet his fellow employees with a “hey boy” every day. He regularly checked on his family and co-workers to make sure they were ok. Thomas loved spending time with his family. He was a faithful member of Auburn Baptist Church where he enjoyed the men’s ministries.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Candace Pittman Reeves, who he called “fancy face”; his son, Jax; his dad, James Reeves; a sister, Susan Rene Reeves Caygle and a brother, Glen Reeves; a host of nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Sue; his brother, Tim Reeves, his step mother, Darlene Reeves and maternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Randolph.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 16, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro Jim Yates officiating. Private burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM Sunday and continue until service time.
