Mary Ferguson, 51

October 21, 1975  –  October 23, 2026

Mary Francis Watts Ferguson, 51, passed away on October 23, 2026, in New Albany, Mississippi, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 21, 1975, in Oxford, Mississippi, and lived a life marked by compassion, faith, devotion to family, and a deep commitment to caring for others.

Mary was a loving, kind, and thoughtful woman whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was a Christian and a devoted member of Keownville Baptist Church, where she was very active and found great joy in serving alongside her church family. Her faith was an important part of her life, and it guided the way she cared for others and the way she lived each day.

Mary was a registered nurse and devoted much of her professional life to serving others. She worked for Health Connect, and Gentiva Hospice, where she cared deeply for her patients and gave of herself in every way she could. She took great pride in her work and found meaning in being there for others during some of their most difficult moments. She enjoyed fishing and traveling every chance she got.

Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her parents, Ronnie and Linda Morgan; her devoted husband of 27 years Don Ferguson, her daughter, Brianna Ferguson; her son; Aubrey Ferguson, her adored granddaughter, Aubriella Ferguson, to whom she was the very best Lolli; her sister, Teresa Gail Williams; and her four brothers, Jack Watts, John Watts, David Morgan, and Timmy Morgan. She also leaves behind many dear friends and loved ones who will forever treasure her memory.

She was preceded in death by her son, Trey Ferguson, and by her grandparents, Francis Kappes, Jack Johnson, Jannie Watts, and Cedar Watts. Their memory remained dear to her heart throughout her life, and she carried her family’s legacy with pride and love.

Mary’s life was one of devotion, service, and love. She enjoyed working and doing all she could for her patients, and she carried that same caring spirit into every area of her life. She had many friends who were drawn to her gentle nature and her genuine concern for others. Her family and friends will remember her for her loving heart, her thoughtful ways, and the strength she showed in both life and illness. Though her earthly journey has ended, the example she set will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Services to honor her life will be on Wednesday, October 28 at 4:00pm at Keownville Baptist Church.
