Flags are flying again atop the New Albany Walmart

The flags — that of the United States and the one for the State of Mississippi — are flying again at the Walmart in New Albany. Joe Wilson of New Albany had been lobbying for the flags to be displayed.

Walmart took down the Mississippi flag and that of United States and then took down the flag pole itself several months ago. It was believed the Mississippi flag had disappeared from Walmart when the controversy about it heated up again last year.

Joe called us today to let us know the flags are again flying. His many calls and emails to Bentonville and those of many others seem to have paid off.
