Alda Joyce Price, 75

February 9, 1948 – December 9, 2023

Tupelo – Ms. Alda Joyce Price, 75, departed this life on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from North MS Medical Center in Tupelo after a brief illness. She was born February 9, 1948 to the late Oscar and Regina Rowan Price. She worked as an RN for Dr. Neely, then transitioned into Home Health Care at NMMC and retired from the North MS State Hospital in 2013. She loved to cook big meals for her family and after her retirement she faithfully kept busy serving Jehovah God. She was a big hearted person, always ready to give to others, and loved shopping on the internet. She was a fancy dresser all of her life, taking after her father. She enjoyed family, especially her nieces, Ashley and Candice, mothering Candice most of her life as her child. Her friends in the congregation were very dear to her heart as was her beloved dog, Charlie. She had been a Jehovah’s Witness since the late 70’s, after moving from Kansas City, Missouri.

Alda is survived by her sisters, Robin McGlaun (Terry) and Brenda Glover (Ronald) all of Tupelo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald Price; sister, Mary Ann Price; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 410 Monument Drive, Tupelo, MS with Minister Leon Skipwith officiating. Private burial will take place in Verona City Cemetery. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family during this time.
