Amy Elizabeth Hodges, 56, resident of Ashland, MS, passed away peacefully Monday May 13, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany.

Funeral Services honoring Amy’s life will be at 1 PM Wednesday May 15, 2024, in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Mitchell officiating and visitation from 12 Noon until service time. Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery.

Amy was born November 18, 1967, in Alexandrea, Louisiana to Polly Renick Hodges of Ashland and the late John Hodges. She was a graduate of Starkville High School and received her degree in Graphic Design from Mississippi State University. After graduation, Amy made a living out of doing what she loved by working with the University of Memphis in graphic design as long as her health permitted.

A Christian and very creative soul, Amy’s favorite pastimes included drawing, painting, writing, listening to all kinds of music and collecting 45 records. In early years she always found much joy in any and every music event and attended many different concerts throughout her life. Her love for music shined through her and was very clear to see, as she even named her beloved dogs, “Ozzie” and “Osborne”. Amy always lived life to the fullest and her legacy will always be that of a loving daughter, wonderful sister, and true friend. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memoires include her mother, Polly Renick Hodges, one sister, Leigh Ann Chisholm (Hugh), two aunts, Elaine Sims, and Louise Grafton, two nieces, Amy Christy and Megan Amis (Colton), and one nephew, Mathew Christy.

The Family ask donations to be directed to any local animal shelter in Amy’s memory.
