With less than 20% of registered voters turning out, incumbents and Republicans fared well in this year’s elections, as expected. Independent Parks Smith defeated a Republican opponent for the open Ward 1 Alderman position. David “Drew” Horn, winning Ward 2, will be the second new city alderman.
The town hall will be Tuesday, June 22, at 6 p.m. in the Union County Courthouse. It is free and the public is invoted.
