Bervia Hooghouse, 64

Blue Springs – Bervia Walton Hooghouse, 64, departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 22, 1959 to Danny Oshay and Yvonne Smith. Bervia was a very hard worker and worked as a roofer for Wheeler Roofing for many years. He was young at heart and loved to tell and play jokes. He also enjoyed collecting things such as coins, stamps, antiques, and most of all motorcycles. Riding motor cycles was one of the greatest loves of his life. He attended Endville Baptist Church before his health began to decline. Bervia will be greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hooghouse; son, Cade Albino (Katelynn); grandchildren, Millea Albino, Justin Albino; father, Danny Oshay; sister-in-law, Wendy Wallace; and a special niece who was his motorcycle buddy, Aubrie Hanna. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Smith; brother, Danny Hooghouse; sister, Collette Hooghouse, and his very special fur baby and co-piolet, Blue Boy.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday November 11, 2023 at Endville Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon – service time. The family asks that in Lieu of flowers that you plant a tree somewhere in his memory. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family during this time.
