Billy Wayne McCarty, 74, of Mantachie, Mississippi, passed away on April 9, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on April 4, 1950, to Elton and Shirley Thomas McCarty in Mississippi.

Billy leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by those he leaves behind. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Diane Msyah, his grandchildren, Corey McCarty and Sophia Msyah, and his great-grandchild, Brookelynn McCarty. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his two special nieces, Leslie Pinson and Tammy Bruce, as well as a close family friend, Janet Elliott.

In the tapestry of Billy’s life, he was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Shirley Thomas McCarty, his beloved wife, Barbara Ann McCarty, his son, Wayne McCarty, his daughter, Christy McCarty, and his brother, Dwight “Molo” McCarty.

Billy led a life marked by hard work and success. As a retired truck driver and successful entrepreneur, he navigated the highways of life with determination and perseverance.

A memorial service to honor Billy’s life is being planned for a later date. During this time of grief, Associated Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the McCarty family and provide support to them in their time of need.
