Billy White, 86

October 15, 1939 – May 23, 2026

Tupelo- Billy Guinn White, 86, died at his home on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Born on October 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Herman Guinn White and Johnnie Opal Leslie White.

Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who treasured every moment spent with his family. He was a proud graduate of Mississippi State University and later earned his master’s degree from Mississippi College. Throughout his career, he worked as an industrial engineer for numerous businesses and also shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor for several colleges, impacting the lives of many students over the years.

Billy was a passionate supporter of Mississippi State Bulldogs athletics and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Bulldogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Healthplex at Mississippi College, where he could often be found sharing conversation and laughter.

A faithful member of Pocahontas Baptist Church, Billy loved the Lord deeply and was devoted to his church family and Sunday school class. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Bill was survived by his sons, Jeff White of Corinth; Mike White and his wife, Tracey of Tupelo; grandsons, Ryan White of Corinth; Taylor White and his wife, Liza; Brandon White and his wife, Claudia; Josh White.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda White; brothers, Bobby White Sr. and James White.

A private family service will be held at his home. Pegues Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the care of his arrangements.
