Bishop’s BBQ Grill may be coming to New Albany

City officials report unofficially that they have been told Bishop’s BBQ Grill, based in Tupelo, is coming to New Albany.

Thursday, a large Bishop’s sign could be seen on the 118 Hwy. North building that had served as a bank branch, Nita’s Eatery and Mi Pueblo restaurant in the past.

Bishop’s BBQ has locations in Tupelo, Belden, Booneville, Ripley, Saltillo and Mooreville.

They serve a variety of barbecue and smoked sandwiches and po boys as well as dinner plates, appetizers and desserts.

There was no word on when the restaurant might open.
