Bobby Gene Jarvis, 71, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1952 in Union County to James Ray Jarvis and Nellie Faye Hamblin Jarvis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed drinking coffee and playing solitaire, while watching old westerns; and he was always ready to talk about the weather and work. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and spoiling the grandkids.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Bro. Joe Gullick officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mandy Cannon; four daughters, Bobbie Jo Bright (Rodney), Penny Jarvis, Britnie Cannon and Samantha Evans (Cary); three sisters, Joyce Little (Jimmy), Pam Sides (Mark) and Kim Hall (Nicky); five brothers, Wayne Jarvis (Mary), Clifton Jarvis (Donna), Danny Jarvis (Gaye), Ricky Jarvis (Roslyn), and David Jarvis; a sister-in-law, Linda Jarvis; seven grandchildren; one grandchild on the way; and one great grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Ray Jarvis; one grandson, Jacob Clayton Bright; and two brothers, Wallace Jarvis and Roger Jarvis.
