Amory— Brian Temple Dry, 59, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home in Amory. He was born March 18, 1964. Brian was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard, dedicating a significant part of his life in service to his country.

A true outdoorsman, Brian could often be found fishing, shooting guns, and hiking in the serene woods. He also enjoyed watching college football, proudly cheering for his favorite team, University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Brian leaves behind three brothers, Joseph Steve Skyes, Joseph Byrd, and John Byrd; two sisters, Brandy Dew and Crystal Byrd; and a his special friend, Paula K. Hurley.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret “Peggy” Byrd; wife, Rita Dry; one brother, Jeff Skyes; and one sister, Barbara Ann Skyes.

Services honoring Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
